Planted outside broadbeans and purple sprouting broccoli yesterday, picking at present: radishes, coriander and green sprouting broccoli, coming soon: strawberries, peas and mangetout at early stage, different tomatoes, chilies, peppers, beans, mint, cumin, kolhrabi and more at seedling stage.
Filling up your raised bed
Before filling up a new raised bed, lay down a thick layer of newspapers or some flat cardboard, then fill up with a good mix of top soil and compost, rake and press down, water well and if the weather is still cold, cover with a sheet of polythene a couple of weeks before planting…
